Veterinary Diagnostic Pathology

Diagnostic Pathology

Routine diagnostic histopathology, cytology and immunohistochemistry, primarily in companion animals, with particular emphasis on oncology and dermatopathology.

Digital & AI-Assisted Diagnostics

Digital & AI Practice

Pathologist-led involvement in AI model development, validation and clinical deployment, including tumour grading and biomarker analysis within digital pathology workflows.

Industry Collaboration & Advisory Work

Industry Collaboration

Advisory and collaborative work with industry partners including Muse Microscopy, Aiforia and Aira Matrix, supporting clinically grounded, responsible adoption of AI in veterinary diagnostic pathology.

Diagnostic, Digital & AI Practice

My diagnostic work is centred on delivering clear, clinically relevant reports supported by appropriate ancillary testing and close communication with referring clinicians.

In parallel, I contribute domain-expert pathology input to digital pathology and AI-assisted tools, supporting their validation, governance and integration into routine laboratory workflows.

Diagnostic Pathology

High-volume diagnostic reporting across histopathology, cytology and IHC, with a consistent focus on diagnostic accuracy and clinical relevance.

Digital Pathology

Experience with end-to-end digital pathology workflows including whole-slide imaging, annotation, quality control and results integration.

AI-Assisted Diagnostics

Experience with development and validation of AI models for grading and prognostic assessment, with careful attention to performance, limitations and interpretability.

Clinical Governance

Emphasis on maintaining diagnostic standards, transparency and pathologist oversight when deploying AI-enabled diagnostic tools.

Professional Profile

My professional interests sit at the intersection of diagnostic veterinary pathology, digital pathology and artificial intelligence, with a focus on practical, clinically meaningful application.

In addition to performing routine diagnostics, I work with academic and industry partners to advance technologies, including the development of AI tools, within everyday diagnostic practice.
